Do you feel like you didn’t travel enough this past year? Is your bucket list still filled with gorgeous destinations? Do you always procrastinate planning or booking that trip? Well, maybe a travel vision board is exactly what you need for this upcoming year! Don’t let the next 12 months rush by without you making the most out of your time in this planet. It’s time to organize your travel goals and set up a strategic vision board that will help you to achieve them, and start living your best life!

Your dream destination list

Start by writing down all of the places you want to travel around the world. No matter how big the list gets, keep going. Once you have it ready, it’s time to think about what is realistic from that list in terms of how many vacation days you have, or how much your travel budget will be this year. We recommend you narrow it down to 4-5 destinations per year. Once you selected your top picks, highlight them and keep the long list to use for next year once again. That is now your main travel bucket list and will be the first step to making a new vision board in the years to come.

Source beautiful photos from your destinations

Now it’s time to source all of the photos you want to include in your vision board. You can find beautiful photos on Pinterest, Instagram, Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, Canva or travel magazines! If you decide to source them digitally and want them to be in the best printing quality, get them as photo prints in the MyPostcard app. In just a few clicks, your photos will be ready and sent to your doorstep within the next few days. It’s that easy!

Find your favorite motivational or travel quotes

Sometimes we need more than pretty pictures to motivate us, think about a quote that will push you to work on your savings each month, so that you’re able to go to that dream destination of yours! Here are some of our favorites:

  • “Work, save, travel, repeat.”
  • “Travel is an investment in yourself.”
  • “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.”
  • “The goal is to die with memories, not dreams.”
  • “Travel. Your money will return, your time won’t.”

Arrange all your content pieces

Once you have all your photo prints and quotes ready, start assembling everything on a cork board, cardboard or any thick big paper you may have at home. Get your glue, washi tape and scissors ready to make a collage out of it. Or if you want to keep it neat and simple, that’s okay too! There is no right or wrong in this step, just do what feels right and what you think looks best. This is your travel vision board, so arrange it the way it makes you most happy.

Find your ideal display spot

Now that you have your beautiful vision board ready, it’s time to find a place for it in your home. Make sure you put it somewhere you will see it every single day. If you work from home, place it right by your office desk. Or next to your mirror, or next to your favorite living room sofa, so you can see it while you drink your morning coffee. It’s up to you, but just know that it’s important for you to see it and get motivated by it every day.
