Sometimes you get a postcard so beautiful or unique you just want to flaunt it to all your visitors. Maybe you are guilty of hoarding and can’t let go of your old postcards. You might just be a postcard collector, vintage most probably. My point is, no matter the number of postcards you have, be it a few or loads, displaying them should not be an issue. This is because there are so many ways of displaying your postcards which often depend on the number of postcards you have, your space and of course your style. Below are various ways of displaying your postcards. Enjoy!

Framing
My personal favorite and arguably the most aesthetically appealing is framing your cards and hanging them for all to see. There are so many ways to frame your cards ranging from using fitting frames for each card to framing them in collages. However, this doesn’t work for people with too many postcards or else you will end up having a wall crowded with postcards. Just dedicate your frames for the very best and chose another method for the rest of the postcards. With apps like mypostcard allowing you to design your own postcards, finding frame-worthy cards has never been easier!

Use Postcard Albums
A subtle way to display your postcards especially if they are many is to use a postcard album. The best thing about albums is that they not only serve the purpose of displaying but can safely store your postcards. They work great for delicate vintage postcards since most albums nowadays come with plastic sleeves for protection. To spice things up, try getting different colors for postcards from different destinations. You can place your albums in the living room if you want to show off or just stash them away if you are more of a private person.

Box It Up!
I know this sounds more like a storage solution rather than a displaying one but in the real sense, it depends on the box you choose. If you simply want to safe keep your cards and occasionally fetch them, a shoe box will do just fine. To make displaying easier, go for a storage box with dividers enabling you to sort your cards according to the destination. The good thing about storage boxes is that you can get many box designs allowing you to go for the one that matches your style. A great example is the common plastic storage box containing smaller plastic compartment.

Let It, Hung, Lose!
If the idea of boxing stuff up doesn’t fancy you, why not let your cards just hung? Using strings or better yet, fishing wires, you can hang your cards from above. The beauty of hanging cards is that it can be done using very many designs ranging from hanging them directly from the ceiling to making various shapes using wire and attaching the cards.

Using pins, you can easily display your postcards on a soft board dedicated solely to your cards. If you don’t have that many postcards, your fridge can make a great display for your cards. Just hung them using a fridge magnet.
While still on the topic of pinning your cards, you can make things more interesting by including a map. Pin postcards on the location from which they originate. This will help you keep tabs on where you’ve been and where to go next!
