ALOHA! Summer is taking us into the great outdoors. The garden is here and it’s time for a great outdoor party. So invite your friends and relatives to a relaxing barbecue or a delicious al fresco brunch. But what kind of tropical garden party would it be without some cool party decorations? In my colorful tropical DIY series for great garden party decorations, I first show you an easy party garland with its own photos. It will make your party location a real eyecatcher!

What you’ll need for the party garland
No need to worry, as you’ll either have most of it at home already or you can quickly print it out yourself. In addition to standard equipment such as scissors and sturdy colored card in various shades of green, you’ll need some string to hang it up and a print-out of some tropical leaves, which serve as the template in step two. You can attach your summery photos using pretty paper clips.

Cutting out the tropical leaves
You should print out the leaf template on DIN A4 paper and then cut it out. Then, draw the outer shape on the individual sheets of card using a pencil. It’s a bit tricky, but you can use a small pair of scissors to cleanly out the fine leaves by cutting along the edges. You’ll have your own leafy forest bit by bit.
For an even more realistic look, paint on a typical leaf structure.

Your eyecatching photos
You’ll then need your own photos so that your visitors have something to look at – whether they’re photos of the last merry garden party or of previous trips. It’s easy to print your photos at MyPostcard.
To attach the pictures and jungle leaves to the string, grab the pretty paper clips. Washi Tape also works well of course – the main thing is that it’s stylish and matches the tropical theme!

You don’t necessarily have to hang your garland on the wall. It also works just as well as a tabletop decoration. So be creative and add tropical green color to your party location. So every guest feels like they are in a tropical rain forest at your house!
